Aaron Siff-Scherr

Director

Aaron studies at and competes in middle distance events for Brown University. He grew up in Port Washington NY, studies history and economics, and spent nine summers at Camp Havaya.

Jesse Edelstein

Head of Technology

Jesse studies at and competes in middle distance races for Brown University. He hails from Ann Arbor Michigan, studies computer science, and is a proud alum of Camp Tavor.

Ruthie Segall

Head of Development

Ruthie is a masters student in bioengineering at Pitt. Before Pitt, she competed in long distance events for Bucknell University for all four years of undergrad. Ruthie grew up in Ardsley NY and attended and worked at various Ramah camps.

Mackenzie Korpi

Head of Operations

Kenzie is a consumer banking analyst at Citi. Prior to Citi, she competed for Carleton College in soccer, ultimate frisbee, and track. Kenzie was raised in Rye Brook NY, attended Camp Havaya and led two summers of hiking trips for Overland.

Elon Abergel

Head of Project Israel

Elon studies at and competes in middle distance events for Yale University. He grew up in Geulei Teiman Israel, studies Computer Science and Psychology. He served for three years in the IDF as a fitness combat instructor.

Zach Harris

Head of Camp

Zach is a recent graduate of Brown University with a degree in Political Science. In the Fall, he will begin a year-long fellowship at the New Israel Fund. Zach ran competitively in High School and for Brown’s club running team. He spent five years on staff at Habonim-Dror Camp Tavor including as Techni (summer logistical co-director) for Summer 2022.

Sydney Ginsburg

Head of Camp Logistics

Sydney is long distance runner for the University of Chicago, studying Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations with a specialization in Hebrew. She is from Manhasset, NY but considers Camp Walden NY, where she attended for 8 years, as a second hometown.

Tevah Gevelber

Co-Head of Newsletter

Tevah runs long distance at Brown where she studies International and Public Affairs and Arabic. She is from the Bay Area California and has never been to Camp but as a consistent tie-dye wearer she is confident that it will be the place for her!
